atril-dbg software package provides MATE document viewer (debugging symbols), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install atril-dbg
atril-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the atril-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep atril-dbg *
You will get with atril-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
